With the long cold winter months almost behind us Fistball Federation of Australia is happy to announce that Fistivus VIII - Octofisty will be held in Royal Park at 11.00am on Saturday 13th September. This will be the first of our 3 spring Fistivii with the next two planned for October and November. The Westside Mortal Wombats will be looking to retain the Peter Norman Trophy after taking out their first title at Fistivus VII. Hunting them down will be The Fistroy Lions , The Fist & The Furious , Fist Club FC and the surprise packets from last Fistivus the Bay City Fisters. Das Fist FC will be looking to avoid an 8th consecutive Lanterne Rouge. The cost of the day will be $50 per team for registration fees. As is customary drinks will be available at genuine 1972 prices and a sausage sizzle will be held for lunch. We look forward to seeing you all there! FIST ON!!! ATTENTION ALL FISTERS!!! This Saturday 30th August, Fistball Federation Of Australia will be running a fund-raising BBQ at Masters Superstore in Northlands, Preston. We are looking for volunteers to help us run the BBQ from 8.30am until 5pm  so if you are able to spare an hour or two of your Saturday to come and help out it would be greatly appreciated! Funds raised on the day will go towards buying new equipment including nets and balls for all teams, which will help us to continue to grow the great sport of Fistball in Australia. Here is a close up map of the venue for today, we're hoping to be able to set up in the area in the bottom right of the map, there is a toilet block, BBQ's and a playground in that area so it should suit us nicely. Bernd Höckel, IFA-Präsidiumsmitglied und IFA-Repräsentant bei dieser Veranstaltung, hat in einer Fülle von Berichten sehr enthusiastisch aus Pakistan berichtet. Fernsehen, das manche Spiele live übertragen hat, bis zu 2000 Zuseher bei den Finalspielen, die 4 teilnehmenden Nation mit dem Neuling Australien auf einem ziemlich hohen Niveau spielend, Minister aus Pakistan, die diese Veranstaltung nicht nur eröffnet haben, sondern ihr auch länger beigewohnt haben, ein eindrucksvolles Feuerwerk am Ende: all das zeigt, dass Faustball auch in Asien sehr bemüht entwickelt werden soll. Fist Club FC have taken out Fistivus VI, taking home the Peter Norman Trophy for the second time and denying The Fistroy Lions in a tight 2 set final! In another day of tightly contested fisting Fist Club FC and The Fistroy Lions had the better of their opposition for most of the day and met in the final for the third time in Fistivus history with Fist Club taking the chocolates for the second tim e in their three meetings. Without their fearless leader Rolf 'The Godfister' Petersen Das Fist FC 's play actually improved significantly, and they came very close to not taking home the Lanterne Rouge for a sixth consecutive time. I can, you can, we all can Pakistan! We have confirmation from the PKFF that the Asian Champs are going ahead! Competing nations will be Australia, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Afghanistan. The opening ceremony will be on the 8th of April and the final on the 12th.
